If you’re anything like me, you’re not exactly blending green juice every morning, but you do try to make healthier choices where it counts. And when it comes to energy drinks? I’ve tried more than a few, hoping for something that could keep up with the demands of mom life without leaving me jittery or crashing by nap time. So when I saw that Naked Nutrition launched a brand-new sparkling energy drink, I was curious but quite skeptical.
Let’s also clear the air: I am a coffee girly through and through. However, I do crave a refreshing energy drink from time to time. So, I appreciate Naked Nutrition for sending me their full line of energy drinks to try and see if they live up to the hype, especially for us moms. Because if ANYONE can judge an energy drink fairly, it’s an exhausted mom who needs a little energy boost.
Naked Nutrition’s sparkling energy drinks are made with natural caffeine, no artificial sweeteners, and zero sugar. Yep, zero. As someone who tries to avoid the overly sweet, chemical-laden drinks out there (but still needs that afternoon pick-me-up), this felt like a refreshing change.
But how does it really taste? Does it give you the energy boost you need without the crash? And most importantly, is it mom-approved?

What Makes Naked Nutrition’s Sparkling Energy Drink Different?
One of the first things that stood out to me about the Naked Sparkling Energy drink was the minimal ingredient list. It has added B vitamins and electrolytes, no artificial junk, and zero sugar. For a mom who’s trying to cut back on the overly sweet, syrupy drinks but still wants to feel human by 3 p.m., this felt like a small win.
It’s bubbly, refreshing, and it honestly reminds me more of a flavored sparkling water than a typical energy drink, and that’s a good thing. As a coffee lover myself, I don’t tend to prefer an energy drink, but I made a few exceptions this week because I simply couldn’t resist the orange flavor (it’s my favorite).
Each can contains 200mg of natural caffeine from unroasted coffee beans (aka no cheap or synthetic caffeine). It’s gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO; basically, the opposite of the usual energy drinks you’ll find in the store. And the best part? It tastes pretty darn good. Crisp, bubbly, and refreshing without being overly sweet or heavy (see the flavors below for more specific details).

However, I will say that I prefer drinking energy drinks with 100-150mg of caffeine just to make sure I’m not overdoing it, if you know what I mean. Since I had the chance to try these thanks to Naked Nutrition, and I didn’t experience the usual jitters or crash, I can honestly say I’d buy a few of my favorite flavors again soon!
Whether you enjoy an energy drink first thing in the morning, while powering through chores, or sharing a can with your husband after he gets home from a long shift like mine, it’s a drink that fits right into the busy lifestyle of a mom.
How I’m Actually Using It (Summer Mom Edition)
Morning boost: On the days we’ve been bouncing between swim lessons, jiu jitsu, play dates, and pool parties this week, I cracked a can in the morning to feel awake, clear, and ready to roll with our jam-packed day without that overly sweet taste or mid-day crash. The caffeine boost gave me just enough focus to pack the necessities, sunscreen the kids, and get out the door on time(ish).

Pre + during workouts: I’ll sip half a can about 20–30 minutes before a workout, then finish the rest during. Since it’s zero sugar and super refreshing, I don’t feel heavy or weighed down, just energized enough to lift heavier, move faster, and enjoy my lift session. If you’re someone who can’t handle super strong pre-workouts that leave you feeling jittery, this is an excellent alternative.
Fire wife approved: My husband (firefighter life = long commutes + sometimes zero sleep after running calls all night) will grab one as soon as he gets home to help him transition from work mode to dad mode. Energy drinks are definitely more his thing after a long, hectic shift. It helps him be present with the kids, not foggy or wired—just… functional. And honestly, that’s the bar some days.
Let’s Discuss the Flavors of this Sparkling Energy Drink

Orange: Hands down, both mine and my husband’s favorite flavor of the 3. It has a clean, refreshing citrus taste that is smooth from start to finish. No weird aftertaste or chemical-type flavoring at all.
Lemonade: This is my second favorite flavor. It reminds me of store-bought lemonade mixed with sparkling water. There is a very tiny hint of almost a bitter aftertaste, but I don’t always taste it. I’m assuming it has to do with the natural sweetener consisting of monk fruit & cane sugar, but its so subtle it doesn’t bother me at all.
Pink Lemonade: Sadly, I wanted to love pink lemonade because it’s my favorite summer drink, but this flavor missed the mark for me. Between having the overly sweet taste and a strong bitter aftertaste, I couldn’t make it work. This was also my husband’s least favorite flavor.
Final Thoughts: Is It Mom Approved?
After testing Naked Nutrition’s sparkling energy drink through busy mornings with the kids, workouts, and even handing a can to my sleep-deprived firefighter husband, it’s safe to say at least 2 of the flavors earned a spot in our fridge.

If you’re a tired mom looking for something better than your typical “loaded with caffeine” energy drink, something that can keep up with your day and still align with your healthier habits, this might be the little boost you’ve been needing. I’m sure I’ll be relying on them soon enough, as back to school is just around the corner!
