After having a baby, many moms fall into the scenario where the baby is the number one priority, and mom, well, she puts herself last.
Mom’s body goes through LOTS of changes throughout pregnancy and birth, some of which leave her with long term challenges such as:
- Urinary Incontinence
- Painful Intercourse
- Lingering Back Pain
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Umbilical Hernias
- And much more!
Instead of suffering through these issues and letting them bring down your confidence, let The Mutu System help!
What is the Mutu System?
The Mutu System is a step-by-step 12-week exercise program for moms!
However, it’s not just ANY exercise program.
It’s specifically aimed to help you rehabilitate your core and pelvic floor after birth (whether you had a c-section or vaginal birth)!
That means, if you need help losing a little bit of weight after birth, The Mutu System can help.
If you need help rehabilitating your core and pelvic floor, The Mutu System can help.
The program has a very easy to follow structure, in which you perform 10 minutes of daily core rehabilitation and 3 days of a workout.
Another cool thing about this postpartum rehabilitation program is that it also includes modifications for women who are currently pregnant!
That means you have the chance to head into your postpartum experience WITHOUT so many pelvic floor or core issues, pretty neat, huh?
Why moms begin feeling unattractive after having a baby
Aside from the physical side effects many moms experience after birth, a lot of times this develops into a lack of confidence.
I polled a few moms on my social media pages and found that over 72% of the postpartum moms who voted (within 6 months from birth) were UNSATISFIED with their bodies.
I then asked them to vote for which signs/symptoms they felt added to this dissatisfaction and the MOST voted reason was that they “HATE THE WAY MY BELLY LOOKS”.
Other options included:
- Physical Symptoms (leaking urine, weak core, etc…)
- Lots of Weight Gain
As you can see, more moms feel a lack of confidence because they don’t like the way their postpartum bodies appear.
And although I will be one to tell you to NOT get caught up in the physical appearances — you just had a baby for crying out loud, I can definitely appreciate the struggle as a postpartum mom myself.
Plus, if having a slimmer core makes you feel a little more empowered and confident, there isn’t anything wrong with wanting that either!
However, I think the LARGER takeaway is that we simply stop feeling connected with our bodies after birth.
How Mutu System can help?
As a mama that used The Mutu System herself, I’d love to share my experience and how it can help!
After my first was born, my pelvic floor was left on the struggle bus.
Between the weight I had gained and all that pressure in my core, I had about a 1.5 finger width diastasis recti separation in my core and struggles a lot with urine leakage.
I would literally sneeze and end up having to run to the bathroom to clean myself up.
I remember feeling so embarrassed and frustrated that NOBODY warned me this would happen!
Instead, when I talked to other moms, they told me it was NORMAL.
Thankfully, I was pretty athletic when I had my first and I knew this just couldn’t be right.
So I did lots of research and ended up purchasing The Mutu System.
This program helped me restore my core strength which improved my ability to control my pelvic floor as well too.
About half-way into the program, I noticed the most progress.
I could sneeze and jump without leaking.
Not long after completing the 12-week program, I was able to jump back into my weight lifting routine knowing my body was rehabilitated, strong, and I just felt so confident this time around.
My favorite part about The Mutu System:
- I enjoyed the fact that I could do the workout at home with minimal equipment & time.
- I liked that the program is a “go at your own pace”. I often would repeat select days or workouts if I wasn’t happy with how I initially performed it.
- I found the instructional videos to be very clear and understandable.
- I enjoyed the progression between simple core connecting “workouts” to low impact full-body workouts.
My least favorite parts about The Mutu System:
- As someone who has always done weight-training, I wished the program has more strength-building components along with it, but that’s a personal pet peeve as I know it’s not something for everyone.
- I’m part of way too many Facebook groups so I actually found the group to be more overwhelming than helpful (and I did end up leaving).
- I wish it didn’t cost so much. I’ll talk more about this later, but this isn’t a “cheap program”. It’s well worth the investment, but if you are on a budget I’d suggest holding off for now.

I know my story is just one drop in a bucket.
That’s why I wanted to share OTHER MOM’s review of how The Mutu System worked for them:

Other Details About The Mutu System
I know you probably have more questions about this system, I did too!
So I rounded up a few of the most common questions I’ve been asked.
Can I use the Mutu System at home or do I need a gym?
You can 100% use The Mutu System at home! In fact, it was designed to be used at home!
You can access the program from your phone, computer, TV, or even a tablet device.
This makes it ultra-convenient for us moms with little ones, so you’ll never have to worry about finding a sitter or someone to watch your baby.
Does Mutu System offer one on one support?
This system offers lots of support! From the instructional videos you get with the program to their online community.
All filled with other moms who are doing the program right alongside you plus, their trained Mutu Team to answer any questions you have along the way.
What do some of the Mutu Exercises look like (what to expect)?
The Mutu System exercises are very phased out in regards to starting at low intensity and then working up to higher intensity.
Plus, because the program is do at your own pace, you’re able to really pick and choose when to progress to the next phase or if you need an extra week or so at a less intense stage.
I don’t even like using the word “intense” because nothing about this program is like an intense workout.
You won’t be feeling like you just completed P90X or anything like that, but you will feel a lot of your muscles engaging that you’ve probably never been felt or realized before.
You can checkout this video for an example of some of the movements as well:
What kind of equipment is needed for The Mutu System?
When I completed this program the only equipment that was needed was
- Resistance Bands
- Exercise Ball
- Light Hand Weights (they recommended a pilates ball, but I subbed a 2-5lb hand weight for the ball)
- Yoga Mat (optional but I got one to help when laying on the floor)
HOWEVER, if you don’t have access to these things, you’d likely still benefit from the program itself, but it’d be better to contact the team at Mutu to ensure you’d really be getting your monies worth.
Is Mutu System worth the money?
Speaking of money…is Mutu System worth it?
I try not to put a price on my health. Especially when it comes to recovering from birth optimally.
However, if you don’t have the funds, please don’t put yourself into debt trying to afford a program that just isn’t within your budget.
At the end of the day, you can still find incredible resources to help you recover from birth, but it may take a little extra effort on your part.
Here’s some other resources you can look into:
- Finding an in-person PT (locate a pelvic floor therapist near you)
- Use YouTube to find free pelvic floor exercise videos
- Dr. Jena Bradley’s Postpartum Ab Rehab Affordable E-Guide
You don’t need to settle for those annoying postpartum issues like leaking or painful intercourse, in fact, you shouldn’t.
As you can see, there’s an option out there that fits your lifestyle and budget best — so which one will you choose?
